An adorable themed baby shower is getting easier to pull off with social media, Pinterest and if we are all being honest - AMAZON. Having these items delivered right to your front door could not make this more convenient.
I'm not going to get too wordy with this post, as I'm sure that everyone just wants the links and suggestions for putting together their beautiful baby shower.
Let's start with the attention grabber as people walked in. The balloon arch that took 2 of us about 2 hours to make. We combined a pink & rose gold pack with a browns & natural tone balloon pack. We definitely needed this balloon pump. Both the balloon packs and the air pump came with all the supplies needed to make the arch. Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics also sell these items, however, I found Amazon to be the best price. We purchased this 7 X 5 back drop and had our own backdrop stand to use as a base. Here are some options for balloon arch bases. The baby block boxes filled with matching balloons from the arch tie it all together!
These adorable Teddy Bear center pieces made by my mom brought this theme to life. Amazon had this Teddy Bear Three Pack for the larger center pieces and also the 1 dozen small 4 inch Teddy Bears for the smaller center pieces. These beautiful artificial flowers filled the boxes along with curling ribbon. We also were able to find more flowers at the Dollar Tree to use as additional fillers for the boxes. The balloon sticks give a little height to the center pieces and tied in the balloon arch, but can be just as cute without them. We also sprinkled some teddy bear confetti on the tables.
Desserts that are too cute eat. We live in Southeast Wisconsin, and have a contact with a local cookie designer. Check social media for someone near you. Cream City Cookies in Hales Corners, WI did these "We Can Bearly Wait" designs. We used our local grocery store for the cupcakes and got the cute cupcake toothpicks that brought the theme full circle. The cookies were our splurge item. They are not inexpensive, but the time, money and effort that goes into making these mini pieces of art cannot be short changed in my opinion.
The activities that we did at the shower were all completely done and ready for us to keep the shower moving and entertain our guests. This 50 pack of each game included the printed cards and was a great deal. It included the Predictions and Advice card which is a great keepsake for the new parents to be. We also purchased this Gummy Bear Guessing Game. It came with 50 guessing cards and the little display sign. We used a jar we had and purchased Gummy Bears. Don't forget to count the gummy bears as you fill the jar!
Prizes for our guests who won the games, included a variety of hair products and beauty items. These were purchased at Amazon and the Dollar Tree. We packaged them together to make a cute little goodie bags. (Make Up Headband, shower steamers and face scrubber were purchased at Amazon and we found a manicure kit with foot scrubber from the Dollar Tree.
As a thank you for all of our guests we rolled a microfiber make up remover washcloth into a teddy bear and purchased these clay face masks. Together they were a sweet Teddy Bear Thank You for helping us shower our Mommy to be! Directions how to roll the wash cloth into a teddy bear were found on tic tok here. We tied the goodie bags with these adorable Thank You Beary Much Tags.
Of course we served lunch and found this 50 pack of all the paper products a great buy from Amazon. We loved the Rose Gold touch. It matched with the color scheme. We had kids at our shower and we used these Teddy Bear Honey water bottles for their drinks and gift from us for attending the shower.
If you can one of the best things we did was a diaper raffle. Ask each of your guests to bring an assigned size of diapers. Entered their names in a drawing and have the Mommy to be draw a name. At our shower, this person won a $25 target gift card. This is a wonderful money savings for the new parents. My daughter went 6 months before she had to purchase a package of diapers.
That was a wrap on the We Can Bearly Wait baby shower. We purchased the template for our invite from Etsy and had them printed through Mpix. Mpix does an amazing job and they come with the envelopes. If you want to save money and postage, use the online evites. There are so many services that it is a wonderful option.
I know, now you just need to know someone who is having a baby. Ours was a girls theme, but almost all of the links provided had an option for blue if it is a boy. If the gender isn't known you could stick with the browns and neutral tones.
